An investigation of students’ perceptions of community service learning at Faculty of English, University of Foreign Languages, Hue University : Nghiên cứu về nhận thức của sinh viên khoa tiếng Anh, Trường Đại học Ngoại ngữ, Đại học Huế về học tập phục vụ cộng đồng / Nguyễn Thị Hồng Nhung; Ngô Lê Hoàng Phương Huế, 2022tr. ; 28cm.Trường Đại học Ngoại ngữ - Đại học HuếCommunity service learning (CSL) was more inclined to consider service as a method to broaden their horizons, boost self-esteem, and deal with personal issues (Eppler, Ironsmith, Dingle, and Errickson, 2011). Moreover, it prompts expanded self-improvement, social obligation, relational abilities, resilience, learning, and learning application (Eyler and Giles, 1999). This study aims to investigate students' perceptions of CSL at the Faculty of English, University of Foreign Languages, Hue University. The study involved 10 students studying at the faculty, using qualitative methods to collect and analyze data through semi-structured interviews. Research results show that students have a positive view of CSL. Research also shows the benefits as well as the difficulties that students face when participating in CSL. From there, the study implies making recommendations on the integration of CSL into the curriculum at the Faculty of English. iv Key words: Community service-learning, service-learning, community learning, integrated course, service-learning course.
