Tóm tắt COVID-19 has had a significant negative impact on Asian Americans and Vietnamese people living in America, where disparities for this demographic are frequently masked due to language challenges and poor data collection. This study employs a systematic review and in-depth interviews to understand the impact of COVID-19 on Vietnamese people living in America from December 2019 to December 2021. We discover that the COVID-19 outbreak had an impact on four aspects of this group's life: (1) COVID-19 testing and vaccination, (2) employment and income, (3) mental health, and (4) government policies in response to COVID-10 spread. COVID-19 had no negative effects on the majority of interviewees, which contradicts previous research on the subject. While this study could be used as a reference for policymakers to implement additional policies to mitigate the disparities that Vietnamese Americans and Vietnamese people living in America may face in future health crises, the research could be expanded to a larger sample size of Vietnamese Americans and Vietnamese people living in America.
